DJ DreGhost, a true pioneer and innovator in the world of rap music. With a career spanning over four decades, DJ DreGhost has not only left an indelible mark on the hip-hop landscape but has also contributed significantly to the evolution of the genre. His journey from the DJ decks of South Central LA to producing chart-topping hits for legendary artists is a testament to his unparalleled talent and dedication to music.

Starting in 1979, DJ DreGhost embarked on his musical journey as a DJ, quickly earning a reputation for electrifying performances that kept clubs and events packed from the heart of South Central LA to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood CA. His early influences drawn from artists like Earth Wind N Fire, Rolling Stones, Parliament Funkadelic, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix laid the foundation for his distinctive musical style.

After transitioning from DJing to producing hip-hop music in the early 1980's, began the makings of a legendary career. His groundbreaking moment came when he co-produced "East 1999" for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, a record that not only shattered The Beatles' 30-year record for the longest-standing #1 album but also earned a Grammy Award. The single "Tha Cross Roads," produced by DreGhost, soared to over 2 million units sold, propelling Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to supergroup status. "East 1999" went on to sell over 7 million copies, forever altering the hip-hop landscape.

DJ DreGhost continued to make waves in the music industry by producing hits for iconic groups like Wu-Tang Clan and Mack 10 (alongside DJ U-Neek). His music found its way into the hearts of mainstream audiences, with tracks featured in the movie "Barber Shop" and utilized by major network television programs such as Fox, MTV, VH1, and ESPN.

DreGhost also produced Ghost in the Machine, an audio sample library for BigFish Audio, Beats from Beyond for M-Audio, and the Chronic Music/LA Riot collection. Countless rappers and Hip Hop producers have used DreGhost’s sound clips to produce their own tracks and records.

He continues to pay his success forward by volunteering at various Southern California schools, nurturing the next generation of musical talent. His dedication extends to the community through the "HOME" program (Helping Others through Music Experience), a venture initiated with his wife, Shasta, to empower youth by boosting their confidence and self-esteem through music.
